Hospitality and LPG

No gas, no service.

A kitchen without gas is a kitchen that can’t cook. A hotel without hot water has unhappy guests. We make sure neither happens.

Many hospitality businesses in rural Yorkshire are off the gas grid, from country pubs and hotels to wedding venues and holiday lets. LPG gives them the same instant, controllable heat chefs expect from mains gas.

Smaller kitchens often run on commercial cylinders; larger venues with heating and hot water usually suit bulk LPG. We supply both.

Tell us about events, bank holidays and peak weekends, and we’ll plan deliveries around them.

Keeping service running smoothly.

Running out mid-service

An empty cylinder on a Saturday night is a disaster.

Deliveries at the wrong time

A delivery during lunch service gets in everyone’s way.

How we help: Tell us when to avoid and we’ll plan around your service.

Guests and appearance

Tanks and cylinder cages can look out of place at a venue.

How we help: Below-ground tanks and sensible siting keep supply out of sight.

Seasonal trade

Summer terraces and Christmas parties mean big swings in demand.

How we help: Flexible top-ups and delivery patterns that follow your calendar.

Cylinder storage

Storing cylinders safely at a venue.

  • Keep cylinders outdoors in a secure, ventilated cage or compound, upright and away from drains and cellars
  • Never store cylinders in cellars, kitchens or basements
  • Keep the store clear of bins, rubbish and anything that could burn
  • Make sure staff know how to change cylinders safely and what to do if they smell gas

Appliances should be installed and serviced by a Gas Safe registered engineer. See our LPG safety guide.

Customer reviews

I have been purchasing from Rectory Gas for almost 20 years. They are a friendly company and their service has always been impeccable. I would recommend them to anyone.

Mrs McWilliam, Bishop Wilton

“A five-star rated, independent company with customer service, reliability and competitive pricing which never failed me in the 12 years that I have been a loyal customer. Liam Milner, who in recent years has taken over the reigns, has ensured that whether ordering by e-mail, phone or text, the efficient staff have processed without delay. The various payment methods accommodate those who prefer online banking or a more traditional form of transaction. I would strongly recommend Rectory Gas Supplies.”

Mrs Cawthorne, Farlington

As a business, we much prefer to deal with other local, family-owned businesses, where you can put a face to the name and excellent customer service comes as standard, so Rectory Gas Supplies was a natural choice.
